So I tried installing saxi on the raspberrypi I've got lying around... Apparently something changed in the way Debian deals with serial communication. Or at least that's as far as I got.

After trying several node versions and other hacks, I couldn't get saxi to talk to my plotter. I even tried breathing some life in the old (mid 2011!) Mac Mini as my print server. Needless to say that didn't go well either.

So here, you are looking at the solution to my overheating laptop. I gave it another go, while keeping a close eye on all the built-in temperature sensors. Turns out there's quite a couple of them sprinkled around, which allowed me to figure out the spot that was getting the warmest, and... tadaa "fixed" !🫠

Until I find some time to delve deep into the bowels of saxi at least...
