In January of 2024, I decided to partake in Genuary. That's an online initiative organised by Piter Pasma providing generative art prompts meant to inspire for each day of the month. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to create and force myself out of my comfort zone and into the world.

And I'm happy that I did. As one of the reactions I got was from a former colleague, who basically asked me: "Hey, I'm running this meetup, but want to move on. Are you interested?". To which I responded: "As a matter of fact, I am interested, yes. But I don't want to do it alone." This is how I met Sinan and Stanko, and together we've now organised 13 events as of early April 2025.

And with the next three kind of planned already, I don't think we're going anywhere anytime soon...

Creative Coding Amsterdam thrives at the intersection of art & technology. With our meetups, we aim to create a space where both creative technologists and curious artists feel at home. But everyone is welcome. In an informal setting, we strive to organize informative and inspiring events that bring together and stimulate the local community.
