When I received the registration email for #ptpx (plotter postcard exchange) 2024, I was a bit hesitant at first, but then remembered how fun it was making the plotparty postcards that I figured "aah sure, why not!".

So I signed myself up for this year's edition.

This seemed like the perfect opportunity to try out something I'd been wanting to try out for quite a while, but just didn't get around to it yet: plotting with paint. While @blahblahpaperblah (Licia He)'s painting with plotters course is rolling out, I wanted to get some experience of my own before I'd dive into that treasure trove...

This is the very first couple of strokes with the plotter. Trying to figure out stroke widths and the stroke length that one dip of paint will give me. This went surprisingly well...
